Fitmiss Ignite Review

Fitmiss ignite is a pre-workout supplement that has been getting a lot of attention lately. I’ve heard great things from a number of people, and I’ve been asked about it a lot, so I thought that meant it was time to give it a comprehensive review on womensworkoutsupplements.com.

fitmiss supplementI recently tried fitmiss Ignite for one of my cardio workouts and was very pleased with the results. Overall, I think it’s a great product that added a great balance of energy and focus. This review is based on my experience with it, as well as other info I’ve gathered from around the internet.

Fitmiss came on the scene in November, 2013 and launched with a number of products that were aimed directly at the female market. They made a big splash and had good exposure for anyone involved in the supplement world. Fitmiss is a subsidiary of MusclePharm – one of the biggest supplement makers in the world.

I’m happy when companies start making products just for women. They currently have 6 products on the market – a protein shake, multivitamin, 2 fat burners, a detox system, and the Ignite pre-workout formula – the subject of this review.

But as we’ve said before on this site, products marketed at female should be actually made for females and not just the men’s product with a pink label. I’m happy to see that MusclePharm has opened a whole subsidiary division for their female products, which suggests they’re actually trying to make products just for females.

In any event, with pre-workout supplements it all comes down to performance in the end. So what’s this product all about:

What are the Fitmiss Ignite Ingredients:

The main 3 ingredients that they promote on their website are L-Carnitine, Advantra-Z, and Beta-Alanine. When you take a look at the ingredients list they provide, you’ll see that a large portion of the product’s ingredients are “Proprietary fitmiss Igniter Blend”.

With respect to the 3 main ones they promote, let’s dig a bit deeper:

L-Carnitine:

  • Sometimes called a vitamin, sometimes called an amino, this compound has been linked to fat burning and enhanced muscle recovery.
  • It’s especially effective for high intensity exercise.
  • But L-Carnitine has had some bad press lately about some potential links to heart disease, so that’s worth reading up a bout.
  • But overall, this is usually a good addition to any pre-workout supplement.

Beta-Alanine:

  • This is a non-essential beta-amino acid that is aimed at increasing performance in high-intensity exercises.
  • If you’ve tried a few pre-workout supplements, chances are that you’ve used one with beta-alanine. You’ll know because it’s the ingredient that gives you that slight tingly feeling all over your body – almost like caffeine but slightly different.

Advantra-Z:

  • A patented bitter orange extract that aids in fat burning.
  • It has been used in a number of weight loss supplements but it’s not for sale as a stand-alone supplement. It is mostly marketed as a safe alternative to ephedra.

These are all strong ingredients that give Fitmiss ignite a good ingredient base. You should also note that fitmiss does contain caffeine. So if you’re sensitive to caffeine this is something to consider. You can check out the product page on bodybuilding.com for the full list of ingredients.

What’s the verdict on Fitmiss Ignite:

I was very pleased after my experience with this pre-workout supplement and would definitely recommend that other women take a look at it.

One thing that stands out is its taste – it actually tastes much better than a lot of other products I’ve tried. Normally this isn’t a big deal to me (I take effectiveness over taste any day), but it’s worth noting that this one actually tastes great.

It’s also very convenient. When you check it out at the store or when you get your online order, you’ll see that each serving is individually packaged in what looks like a stick. It’s actually a very convenient way to do it because you can just take a stick with you to the gym or keep a few in your gym bag. I think all pre-workout supplements should be sold this way.

But the biggest selling feature of any pre-workout supplement is its effectiveness. Ignite hits it just right, in my opinion.  A good balance of energy without an excessive jittery feel or body buzz. I used it for a 60 minute workout and felt invigorated all throughout – it was unlike other products I’ve used.

It also came on relatively quickly. I felt like the energy hit me very quickly and I was ready to go almost right away. I drank it 20 mins before my workout and it didn’t take long to hit me.

I can’t really comment on its fat-burning claims because I haven’t used it enough. I would need to use it over a period of at least a month before I can make any kind of conclusion. But as a pre-workout, I found it to be quite effective. If it also works well as a fat burner, that would be a bonus.

Whether I might build up a tolerance to it is something that I can’t comment on yet either. This has happened to me with other pre-workout products when you take them for a while. So perhaps I’ll update this review in the future if I find that I develop a tolerance easily.

One complaint I had is that it didn’t mix so well with water as other products I’ve tried. So I had to drink it relatively quickly. But overall, this is not a deal breaker and I’m sure I’d get used to it. It’s actually a very minor problem, so it’s not really a deterrent for me at all.

As for the price point, it’s pretty reasonable in my opinion. You get 28 servings for $28 - so a dollar a serving. This is actually  lower than a handful of other ones. So based on the quality of the product, I think there’s good value there.

Anyways, those are my thoughts about Fitmiss Ignite. Overall, I was very pleased with the product and would use it again. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below!
